By creating an account and using Open to Marry, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2. Eligibility

• You are at least 18 years old
• You have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement
• You are not prohibited from using the service
• You have not been previously banned from our platform

3. Account Responsibilities

3.1 Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and all activity under your account.

3.2 Accurate Information

You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information in your profile. Misrepresentation, including using someone else's photos, is prohibited.

3.3 One Account

You may only create one account.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

• Harass, bully, or threaten any user
• Post explicit, violent, or offensive content
• Impersonate any person or entity
• Use the service for solicitation or commercial purposes
• Share others' contact info without permission
• Upload photos that are not of yourself or violate photo rules
• Use AI-generated or heavily filtered main photos
• Engage in fraud, scams, or illegal activity
• Attempt to access other users' accounts or data
• Interfere with or disrupt the service
• Use automated tools (bots, scrapers)

5. Content

5.1 Your Content

You retain ownership of content you upload. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use and display your content to provide the service.

5.2 Standards

We may remove content that violates these Terms or our guidelines.

5.3 Photo Validation

We use automated checks to validate photos. Photos may be rejected if they are inappropriate, AI-generated, or obscure your face (main photo).

6. Verification

We offer optional identity verification through a selfie. Verified status does not guarantee authenticity or safety.

7. Messaging & Interactions

• Messaging is available between mutually matched users
• Chat may require basic verification
• You are responsible for your interactions with others
• We do not conduct criminal background checks

8. Reporting & Safety

Report inappropriate behavior through the app. We may warn, remove content, suspend, or terminate accounts.

9. Subscriptions & Payments

• Fees apply to paid features
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled
• No refunds for partial periods
• Price changes with notice

10. Account Termination

10.1 By You

• Delete anytime in settings
• 30-day recovery window
• After 30 days, permanent deletion

10.2 By Us

We may suspend or terminate accounts for violations, fraud, or illegal activity.

11. Disclaimers

We do not guarantee results. The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the past 12 months (or $100 if you have not paid us).

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Open to Marry harmless from claims arising from your use of the service or violation of these Terms.

14. Dispute Resolution

Before filing a claim, contact support@opentomarry.com to try to resolve the issue informally. Disputes may be resolved through binding arbitration where permitted by law. Class actions are waived to the extent permitted.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of your local jurisdiction unless otherwise required by law.

16. Changes

We may modify these Terms. We will notify you of material changes via email or in the app. Continued use indicates acceptance.
